I have been wanting/wishing/hoping for a Fritanga to open in Portland ever since I moved here from Miami 2 years ago. The wait is finally over. The whole plate was delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try the carne asada because he ran out, so if you want that make sure you go earlier vs later in the day. I will certainly be back to try it! The queso frito was gallo pinto was good, the chicken was flavorful. I wish the cup for the horchata was bigger but it was so good! Had never had Nica horchata before. All in all I am very excited to go back and continue to support this business

The mambacho fries were awesome! Such a unique idea. The fritanga was great too!! It was the perfect mix of traditional Nicaraguan food with a few twists to fit Portland’s scene. North America needs more Nicaraguan food, it’s slept on!!

I was visiting PDX, walking down the street, REALLY craving a burger. I spotted this food truck, thought to myself ‘even better!’ I fell in love with Nicaraguan food while traveling the country a few years back. Long story short, he also had a burger, Fritanga style. I was in heaven. The food is absolutely delicious, and the customer service is amazing. This will be my first stop on my next trip to Portland. Muchas gracias!

Finally! Nica food in PDX!! I've missed a good plate of gallo pinto, tostones, and jamaica something fierce since moving back from Nicaragua in 2017. This place delivers! The Fritanga classics are solid, and the Fritanga Burger is honestly a revelation. The maduros and queso frito on there are nothing short of mind blowing. Do yourself a favor and RUN, don't walk, to Papa's Fritas before everyone discovers it

We keep coming back. Our favorites are pollo fritanga and the fritanga burger with yucca fries. Everything is so yummy. The yucca fries are seasoned to perfection and I want the the mombacha sauce for all things, chicken is so flavorful. Owner is helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend the pollo fritanga with queso frita and a side of mombacha fries.
